A Bryan woman is in the Brazos County jail for the seventh time in six months.
According to online jail records, 38 year old Laura Brusoe was arrested Sunday night by Bryan police for driving while intoxicated with two prior convictions, driving with an invalid license with prior convictions, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
According to the BPD arrest report, an officer made a traffic stop on a minivan that had no front license plate. After the vehicle stopped, the officer learned Brusoe’s license was suspended and the officer smelled marijuana. The DWI arrest followed the officer reporting some clues of intoxicated driving.
Brusoe was out on bond while awaiting two trials on misdemeanor charges of driving with an invalid license, failing to identify, and possessing marijuana.
According to online records, Brusoe was released May 15th after serving 34 days of what the judge ordered was a 100 day sentence for two misdemeanor DWI’s, which took place last year and in 2017.
Brusoe remains in jail in lieu of bonds on the new charges that total $12,000 dollars.
