Two Bryan towing companies were recently fined almost $16,000 for operating without a license, but a third company owned by the same man is still good to go.
Susan Stanford with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation says AJ Wreckers and Lone Star Wreckers will have their licenses suspended for two years, but owner Anthony Tribble will still be able to run his third company, Tribble and Sons.
If you are wondering how to tell when a company is operating above boar, Stanford says every towing truck is required to have their license on each side of the truck in a contrasting color from the truck’s paint job.
She says you can also find a listing of people who are licensed and those who have violated the rules on the TDLR website, listed below.
She says they regulate 26 different professions including barbers, nail salons, electricians, and heating and air-conditioning companies.
