One of three small business owners on Capitol Hill Thursday to testify before a House subcommittee looking at federal tax reform was from the twin cities.

Rebecca Boenigk, who founded Neutral Posture with her mother 29 years ago, appeared before the House Ways and Means Committee’s tax policy subcommittee.

Boenigk supports the proposal from Ways and Means chairman Kevin Brady of The Woodlands, where corporate taxes on small businesses would drop from 49 to 25 percent.

She would also like tax reform on the paperwork side, noting her federal tax return contains 79 pages.

And she supports repealing the federal estate tax for family owned businesses.
