The Bryan school board’s first two meetings at their new location are Monday.
The board will be meeting twice in the former Stephen F. Austin school at 32nd and Ennis.
Monday at 5 p.m. is the presentation and public hearing of the fiscal year 2019 budget and property tax rate. The property tax rate is proposed to stay the same.
Due to the average valuation of a home in BISD rising $15,000 dollars, that equals a tax increase of $175 dollars.
The board’s monthly night meeting starts at 7 p.m., one hour later than usual. That’s when final action will be considered on the budget and the tax rate.
