A week from Monday, the Bryan school board will interview representatives of two search firms interested in recruiting the district’s next Superintendent.
Trustees President Pat Shields says five submited written proposals before the board unanimously selected the two finalists on Friday.
Comments from Pat Shields.
One firm, based in Illinois, has Texas representatives and has on its staff a former U.S. Secretary of Education. The other finalist is based in Dallas and features a former Texas Education Commissioner on its staff.
Shields says both bring to the table experience working with districts like Bryan. Prices quoted by both firms, according to Shields, were in the middle of the pack, ranging between $14,000 and $18,000 plus expenses.
