Bryan School Board Has No Opposition To Moving Special Education Department To Current Administration Building

Bryan school board members have no opposition to turning the current administration building into offices for the district’s special education department.

The proposal from the district’s construction manager, Jeff Windsor, was made during an update on 2014 bond financed projects at this week’s board meeting.

Windsor says there would be leave the ad building offices alone, resulting in very little construction or renovation cost.

Windsor also said there is room on the first floor, which the district needs, and there is a loading dock that would be used.

Central office administrators are moving later this year to the former Stephen F. Austin middle school building.

The idea was endorsed by board member and retired teacher Ruthie Waller.
