Bryan School Board Gives Superintendent Permission To Negotiate Land Contract Associated With 2020 Bond Issue

This week’s Bryan school board meeting ended with a vote allowing the superintendent to negotiate the purchase of land for a new transportation and maintenance complex.

Board president Mark McCall says that allows them to be ready to proceed should voters approve a bond issue in May 2020.

McCall would not say if the board has identified possible locations.

McCall says the board is not looking to remodel an existing building.

Bryan ISD’s bond committee has recommended a new transportation and maintenance complex because that site was chosen to build a third intermediate school.
