Bryan School Board Agrees To Delay Construction Of Two Parking Lot Expansions To Reconfigure One Of The Projects

Expansion of parking lots at two Bryan school district campuses are being delayed.

That’s after the school board this week agreed with recommendations to change where the expansion will take place at Rudder high school.

The district’s construction manager, Jeff Windsor, says instead of adding 108 spaces all on the north side of the campus, half will go to the south side by the fine arts area.

Superintendent Christie Whitbeck said the recommendation also followed consultation with the school board’s facilities committee.

The contract also calls for Davila middle school to gain another 23 parking spaces.
