Two weeks ago, the Bryan Planning and Zoning Commission asked the city council to pull a proposal regulating the design of new commercial buildings and those undergoing major alterations.
Thursday night, the advisory body holds a public hearing on a revised proposal that city planner Michelle Audenaert says the commission wanted to make it easier on the owner of a building less than 5,000 square feet located along certain streets.
The proposal still includes creating a design review board that would consider appeals from building owners.
Thursday night’s public hearing starts at 6 p.m. at city hall.
