A Houston man is accused of causing almost $20,000 dollars damage to an apartment near Blinn College Sunday morning. Bryan police report at College Edge apartments, a fire extinguisher exploded after it was set on top of a stove. When officers entered, they smelled the residue from the fire extinguisher, which was compared to an air bag being activated. They saw a microwave melting over the stove that was dripping plastic onto the burners that were still on. Linoleum flooring was burned to the concrete and two exterior glass doors were shattered. They also found running water in a bathroom where the toilet and water lines were broken. And copper wiring and refrigerant lines were ripped out of the air conditioning unit. Officers found the occupant who appeared calm but was under the influence of something. He was eating a hot dog while raw hamburger was in flames on another red-hot burner. 19 year old Drew Lochridge-Fletcher is also accused of damaging two parked cars.

Last New Year’s Day, 9-1-1 received a call from a woman living in a four-plex on Cypress Bend Drive, off Finfeather west of the Bryan municipal golf course.
