Bryan Police Make Four Arrests Thanks to Citizens Call

Four young men were arrested by Bryan police early Wednesday morning after a citizen’s report of suspicious activity.

The call came from a resident living in the Pecan Ridge subdivision, located behind Boonville Cemetery east of Austin’s Colony.

The caller reported at 2:45 a.m. seeing several people on Comanche Street looking into vehicles with a flashlight.

Officers who responded said four who fled were later located then arrested on charges of evading.

They were identified as a 15 year old from Washington County and three 17 year olds, Tyrrelle Rogers and Tre’Darien Daion Shepard of Brenham and Xavier Washington of Navasota. Shepard was also charged with failing to identify himself to officers.

Additional charges are possible, after officers discovered at least five vehicle burglaries took place in the neighborhood.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bryan police at 979-209-5300 or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).
