A Navasota man was arrested for the 8th time in 4 years. According to the Bryan police arrest report, the officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Garden Lane and Skrivanek Drive for a motorcycle without a license plate.

The driver sped away from the patrol car into a front yard before hitting a small tree and falling off of the motorcycle.

After speaking to the driver, who was identified as 25 year-old Sonny Farris, officers discovered the motorcycle was stolen.

Farris was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, then transported to jail. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest.

On Thursday, just before 5 p.m., BPD went to an auto dealership for a possible fraud call. On arrival, contact was made with the suspect before he fled from the scene on foot and ran into a nearby medical clinic.

39 year-old Esquonique Kelly of Houston was found in the clinic and arrested for evading arrest, credit/debit card abuse, failure to identify, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, false statement to obtain credit and tampering with evidence.

He received treatment for minor injuries and was transported to the Brazos County jail.
