Bryan police responded to a pair of armed robberies in a 30 minute span Wednesday night.

One involved gunfire. Police say a 25 year old man was taken to the hospital a gunshot wound that’s not believed to be life threatening. The victim was shot outside the I-Stop convenience store on College Main. The suspect drove away in the victim’s pickup with undisclosed property. The victim’s vehicle, described as a tan 2005 GMC single cab truck with 20 inch shiny rims, was found in Bryan Thursday afternoon. The suspect is described as a tall Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 28.

30 minutes before that, police went to a home on Bryan’s west side, behind Jane Long Middle School on Imperial Valley Drive. A woman who was outside getting her mail says a man approached her, she thought he was armed, and the suspect drove away in her car…which was found about one hour later on fire northeast of Bryan. The woman was not hurt. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man approximately five foot ten wearing all black clothes.
