Bryan police spent about four and half hours Sunday around a house where a man had barricaded himself.

BPD was attempting to arrest 31 year old Joseph Veiscaya when he refused to leave a house near McAshan and Ursuline, which is north of the intersection of Villa Maria and William Joel Bryan.

BPD reported Veiscaya was taken into custody without incident Sunday at 10 p.m. and arrested for an outstanding pardon and parole warrant.

BPD’s emergency response, tactical response, and crisis negotiation teams were outside the home.

BPD’s news release did not disclose how Veiscaya was taken into custody.
