Bryan Police Arrest A Local Man Who Is Scheduled To Face An Attempted Murder Trial In Arizona

Bryan police arrest a local man who is scheduled to face a attempted murder trial in Arizona.

A spokeswoman at the Navajo County, Arizona county attorney’s office tells WTAW News that 45 year old Glen Estrada was indicted by a grand jury on one count of attempted homicide and two counts of aggravated assault-domestic violence on August 25, 2020. The victim in this case, who was strangled, suffered a stroke.

According to a Bryan police arrest report, Estrada was arrested in Bryan on warrants related to the Arizona case on January 19, 2024. Estrada was released from the Brazos County jail May 14th according to the BPD arrest report because he was never extradited by Arizona officials.

The BPD arrest report is associated with Estrada’s arrest on charges of threatening two people with a knife.

An officer who responded to a disturbance at 1:30 the morning of May 31st was told that one of the victims had a shotgun. No shots were fired and the gun was not pointed at Estrada. The victim who had the gun was not arrested.

Estrada, who was arrested on two counts aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, remained jailed as of June 3rd in lieu of bonds totaling $60,000 dollars.
