Bryan Men Admit To Aggravated Assault Of An Ex-Girlfriend And Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A Child

A Bryan man in jail since last August has admitted to domestic violence crimes that took place two years ago. The Brazos County district attorney’s office announced a plea agreement which sentences 30 year old Keshawn Wells to the maximum of 20 years in prison for aggravated assault of an ex-girlfriend causing serious bodily injury. Wells also admitted to multiple bond violations from assaulting another ex-girlfriend that included striking a third person. The assaults follow a robbery conviction in 2008.

A 27 year old Bryan man has admitted to aggravated sexual assault of a child. The Brazos County district attorney’s office announced a plea agreement was in cooperation with the family of the victim, whose age was not released. Bobby Ray Smith Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in prison, he will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, and he has no right to appeal the conviction. According to online records, Smith entered a plea agreement in March 2015 where he was sentenced to a total of five years for stealing three guns, unlawful possession of a firearm, misdemeanor theft, and driving without a license with a prior conviction.
