A heart condition requiring hospital treatment allows a Bryan man to skip going to jail after he was arrested for driving with an invalid license with two prior convictions. Brazos County district court records show 64 year old Travis Ward is also charged with not registering as a sex offender, which Bryan police arrest reports say is the reason why Ward is not eligible to have a drivers license. Ward, who was also charged with fleeing, which involved a pursuit that ended when he parked in his driveway. A judge allowed Ward to sign a personal recognizance bond, promising his appearance at future court appearances. That allowed Ward to avoid going to jail for the 20th time since July of 1994.

A Bryan police officer witnesses and has a video recording of a hit and run crash Tuesday night (March 17) two blocks north of the courthouse at Texas and 23rd. The BPD arrest report says the SUV that drove away was found a short time later. The 19 year old driver from Bryan went to jail on charges of failing to leave information, having no license, making an illegal left turn. Jesus Flores-Lozano is also being held for immigration authorities.
