A high speed chase in a stolen pickup Monday morning ended on the Bryan municipal golf course.

That’s according to the arrest report from the DPS trooper who arrested 36 year old Jason Lee Maxwell of Bryan on nine charges.

Maxwell is accused of five crimes related to the chase, two drug related crimes, and warrants from two prior incidents.

The trooper reported Maxwell was initially clocked at 92 miles per hour on Harvey Road. Then he topped 100 mph as he is accused of running multiple red lights and stop signs in the twin cities.

During the pursuit, the trooper said a generator and a tailgate came out of Maxwell’s truck bed.

After Maxwell stopped on the golf course next to a bridge, the trooper found in the truck, evidence of multiple burglaries in Bryan and College Station.

Maxwell, who is in the Brazos County jail for the 25th time since December of 2000, is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $42,000 dollars.
