A Bryan man awaiting trial on misdemeanor drug and weapons charges from an arrest in September, is now accused of an armed robbery in October and another robbery in November.

18 year old Lane Stratta is in jail on bonds totaling $131,000 dollars.

Arrest reports from College Station police accuses Stratta on October 23rd of taking $160 dollars and striking the victim in the face with the barrel end of a handgun.

Then on November 11th Stratta is accused of threatening a man with what the victim thought was a gun and taking a backpack containing the victim’s keys, driver’s license, a smartphone, and a laptop. Stratta was caught the next day at his apartment and the stolen items were recovered.

Stratta was tracked down after CSPD responded to a criminal trespassing complaint at a home where the parents identified Stratta as their daughter’s boyfriend. The parents gave permission for officers to look at the daughter’s phone. Officers found a message from the daughter who told a friend that Stratta was robbing someone.

Stratta told officers he took the backpack because that victim stole an undisclosed amount of money that Stratta paid to buy drugs that were not delivered.
