Bryan Man Arrested For Family Violence Assault Now Accused Of Twice Violating A Protection Order And Violating Probation In An Unrelated Case

A Bryan man returns to jail for the third time in three weeks.

Bryan police arrest reports show 37 year old John Tyler Cooper was arrested March 17th and March 20th for violating a protection order.

The protection order followed Cooper’s arrest on March 2nd for assaulting a family member with prior convictions.

When Cooper was arrested March 2nd, he was also charged with violating probation after admitting to an aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

In the unrelated case, Cooper pleaded guilty to knocking out a customer in the parking lot of Hooter’s in Bryan in June of 2019.

After Cooper was arrested March 20th, bond was increased in the probation violation case.

As of March 22nd, Cooper remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $140,000 dollars.
