A Bryan man is accused of possessing more than $44,000 dollars of illegal drugs and a 38 caliber handgun reported stolen from Louisiana.

Bryan police arrested 26 year old Edward Patrick Rogers following a search of his home last Thursday.

BPD seized $4,000 dollars of THC and hydroponic marijuana, almost $5,000 thousand dollars in cash, and the stolen handgun.

Rogers is also being held on drug charges from the Texas Department of Public Safety, where he is accused of having $40,000 dollars of THC in various forms.

According to the DPS arrest report, Rogers was a passenger in a car stopped in Burleson County last month for speeding.

The driver of the car told the trooper he initially admitted the drugs were his.

But in the Burleson County jail, the driver said the drugs belonged to Rogers.

Rogers had been out on bond following his arrest last year by Bryan police on charges of possessing five thousand dollars of K-2 and hashish oil.
