The punishment of a Bryan man who has admitted to sexual assault of a girl under the age of 17 will include paying support for the child he fathered as the result of the crime.

That’s part of a plea agreement that keeps 22 year old Nathan Portillo out of prison.

Portillo started serving five months in the Brazos County jail last week as another condition of probation.

According to online records, it’s the seventh time Portillo has been in jail in the last four and a half years.

He was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.

And he will also be required to register as a sex offender.
