Bryan school district superintendent Christie Whitbeck started her second year on the job this week.
Reviewing her first year with WTAW News, she says she is farther along than she expected a year ago.
Doctor Whitbeck brought up as an example, resolving unexpected problems with busing students last August.
Whitbeck continues to work on her number one goal, changing culture, as she continues to meet with employees on campus and district offices during lunch in what she calls “soup with the sup (SOUP)”.
Year two has started this week with meeting student leaders at Bryan High and Rudder to discuss safety.
Planning continues to start a new discipline program next year, along with a continuing focus on literacy and opening the district’s new career and technology campus.
