Bryan ISD School Board Deliberates Five Issues Behind Closed Doors Then Takes Action On One Item

Another economic development prospect has approached the Bryan ISD school board for incentives.

That was one of five items scheduled for discussion in private during Monday’s (May 6) board meeting.

After a 75 minute executive session, the board voted on one of two student matters.

No details were provided about Mark McCall’s motion to proceed with a possible settlement of a possible lawsuit involving a special education student.

After the meeting, board president Julie Harlin told WTAW News “I am unable to provide additional information. Everything we are able to say was included in the motion.”

The other student matter discussed in private was not identified.

The remaining executive session items, according to the meeting agenda, were “Discuss Issues Pertaining to Appointment, Employment, Evaluation, Reassignment, Duties, Discipline, or Dismissal of a Public Officer or Employee – Texas Government Code Chapter 551.074” and “Discuss Issues Related to the Purchase, Exchange, Lease, or Value of Real Property – Texas Government Code 551.072”.
