Bryan ISD End of Year Activities

Friday afternoon marked the end of the school year for teachers and other employees in the Bryan district.

Spokeswoman Sandy Farris says this year’s 55 retirees is twice the norm.

Among those not retiring, Bryan High Physical Education teacher Rose Gregg was recognized for 45 years of service.

Auxiliary Employee of the Year – Lois Robinson, Rudder High School, cafeteria manager
 

Elementary Teacher of the Year – Angela George, Kemp Elementary 3rd grade teacher
 

Paraprofessional of the Year – Maria Field, Bryan High School, Assistant to the Principal
 

Administrator of the Year – Lindsay Harris, Jane Long Middle School principal
 

Secondary Teacher of the Year – Alfred Scott, Jane Long Middle School history teacher  

Professional Specialist of the Year – Ginger Freeze, Branch Elementary, Professional Development Specialist

Farris also says positive reviews were received following the first commencement programs at Bryan Collegiate and Rudder High Schools.
