Bryan Council Approves An Economic Development Agreement That Moves The Corporate Offices Of A Local Manufacturer To Town

Bryan manufacturer American Lumber is moving is corporate headquarters from Uvalde to a vacant bank building in west Bryan.

The city of Bryan’s economic development director, Kevin Russell, says an economic development agreement approved by the city council means the creation of 12 jobs by the end of this year with an average annual salary of $60,000.

The council agreed to a five year rebate of taxes American Lumber will pay on $1.5 million dollars of increased value due to planned improvements at the company’s new home on Villa Maria, west of Harvey Mitchell Parkway.
