The Bryan city council held a special meeting Monday (April 1) to start interviewing candidates for the next presiding judge of the city’s municipal court.
A city spokeswoman said there are no finalists.
How many applications and how many interviews were and might be conducted in the future were not released.
Bryan has been without a presiding city judge since last August, when Jerrell Wise was appointed judge of the new 472nd district court.
The city currently has four associate judges.
