Motorists on Texas Avenue in Bryan won’t be slowing down in front of Harmony Science Academy.
That was part of staff recommendations the city council approved at Tuesday’s meeting.
The list, presented by public works director Jayson Barfknecht, establishes school zones on side streets north and south of the privately owned school.
Harmony administrators will also be asked to create a bus stop on Post Office Avenue to drive students across Texas and to follow the Bryan school district’s policy of disciplinary action for students who cross the five lane street.
Mayor Andrew Nelson talked about the recommendations of his father, who is a nationally known safety engineer.
