More than a year after the Bryan city cemetery began offering a place for cremains, the city council adopts an operating policy.
There was no discussion prior to the council’s unanimous vote at the December 10th meeting to rules applying at two new columbarium in the cemetery’s veteran’s section and two that are available to the general public.
Among the rules, faceplates in the veterans section are available through the Veterans Administration.
Faceplates in the public section are available at the cemetery, though they must be engraved by a third party.
And there are rules to what can be engraved on a faceplate of a columbaria in the public section of the Bryan city cemetery.
