Bryan Business Council Is Contributing To The Bryan School District’s New CTE Center

Next Monday, the Bryan school board plans to consider awarding a contract to renovate the buildings purchased last year as part of the district’s new career and technology education (CTE) center property on Mumford Road.

Bryan Business Council (BBC) members Bobby Gutierrez and Stephanie Sale told the city council during a joint meeting in December that the BBC is making a financial contribution to new equipment at the CTE that was recommended by local manufacturers who want to hire local students.

Gutierrez invited the city council and businessowners they know to participate in a capital campaign for the CTE center.

The city council was told 42 percent of future jobs in the twin cities will involve advanced manufacturing, and students at the CTE center can fill entry level positions.
