Bryan and College Station Police Launch Their Holiday Assistance Campaigns

News release from Bryan police:

The Bryan Police Officers Association is hosting its 4th annual Blue Angel Tree. Blue Angel is organized by the Bryan Police Officers Association and is a holiday project designed to help the less fortunate families in our city during the holiday season.

The Blue Angel Tree will have tags listing needy children and elderly in our community. The tree is currently being housed in the lobby of the Bryan Police Department.

You can help by selecting an angel from the tree and purchasing gifts to be presented to the children at our Blue Christmas Party. We will also be accepting monetary donations to purchase gifts for the families on the tree.

All gifts are to be turned into the Bryan Police Department by December 7th at 5 p.m.

The Bryan Police Officer’s Association will then present these gifts to the families in need on December 18th at the Bryan Police Department. The presentation is also open to those who donated gifts to Blue Angel.

News release from College Station police:

The College Station Police Department, the Texas A&M University Student Government Association, and the College Station Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association are proud to announce the hosting of our annual “Breakfast with Santa” program.

“Breakfast with Santa” creates a positive atmosphere for children to interact with Santa Claus and members of the College Station Police Department. Each year an apartment complex is chosen to host this activity. This year the event will be held at Southgate Village Apartments, a complex with over 350 children, to share in the joy of Christmas. Children will visit with Santa, enjoy breakfast, receive a gift, and play with CSPD officers and friends.

Donations are being accepted in the Student Government Association’s office in the Department of Student Activities in the Koldus Building on Campus, at Chimy’s located at 203 University Drive and in the lobby of the College Station Police Department.

The Texas A&M University Student Government Association is collecting toys and monetary donations until December 8, 2015. All donations will be given to children who might not otherwise have a bright holiday season.
