This weekend is the 10th Annual Brazos Valley Worldfest.
Their mission is to “to promote and celebrate the international diversity and heritage of the Brazos Valley.”
Kim Fox, festival coordinator, said the event is a great way to not only learn about the world we live in, but about the people we call our neighbors.
“It’s just great to be able to have an event like this where you can learn more about them and know you who might be dealing with on a day to day basis, and learn about our similarities as opposed to some of the things that you hear on the news mostly highlighting our differences,” said Fox.
The festival includes cultural performances, food from around the world, and a kids’ village.
Things kick off Friday night at the Palace Theatre in Downtown Bryan with live music and dancing. Activities move to Wolf Pen Creek on Saturday for a full day of fun for the whole family.
