Brazos Valley 501-C-3’s Have More Time To Register For The Community Foundation’s First Day of Giving

The deadline has been extended for qualifying non profit agencies in the Brazos Valley to participate in next month’s first area wide day of giving.

Molly Watson at the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley says they have exceeded their goal of more than 60 participating organizations.

That’s the reason the registration deadline for 501-C-3’s was moved to September 30th.

Watson says many have already added information to the event’s website to provide visitors with background information for the 18 hour fundraising event on October 22nd.

Additional information from the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley:

Registration for the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley’s first annual Brazos Valley Gives Day is officially underway with nonprofits signing up to be a part of a community-wide day of giving.

The day is Tuesday, October 22.

Brazos Valley Gives is 18 hours of online giving that brings the region together on one day and as one community to raise critical funding and awareness for nonprofit organizations throughout the Brazos Valley.

Powered by the Community Foundation, Brazos Valley Gives will provide citizens and businesses an easy platform to support the mission and “good works” of local nonprofit organizations that serve the Brazos Valley.

This first-year pilot will focus on Bryan/College Station nonprofits because that will be the primary media/marketing focus for this initial year. However, nonprofits from throughout the Brazos Valley are invited to participate.

Brazos Valley Gives will empower individual donors and business leaders to come together to support causes close to their hearts—and, on this day, everyone can be a philanthropist.

This day of giving where you live is being powered by the Community Foundation, and all donations will pass-thru directly to the donor’s charity(ies) of choice.

The goal for Brazos Valley Gives is $500,000. Over 60 nonprofits have signed up to date!

If you are a 501(c)(3)nonprofit and interested in participating, please visit brazosvalleygives.org to register, or for more information send an email to brazosvalleygives@gmail.com.

If you are a local citizen or business interested in helping with Brazos Valley Gives, please call Patricia Gerling at (979) 589-4305.
