Representatives of local governments around Brazos County are told to expect another record setting number of Texas A&M graduates this May.

Associate vice president for external affairs Chad Wootton told those attending this month’s intergovernmental committee meeting estimated around 11,000 graduates will participate in 25 commencement programs at all A&M locations.

Wootton says ceremonies will start May 6 and run through the Saturday before Memorial Day.

Similar to last December, Wootton says family members will be in pods and there will be social distancing and reduced occupancy.
