Brazos County Sheriff’s Office Demonstrates New Technology

For the last two years, the Brazos County sheriffs office has been using a first in the state broadband network in the field and in the office.

On Thursday, sheriff Chris Kirk formally rolled out the new video and data technology, which keeps deputies and constables out in the field.

The sheriff hosted local and state officials at the Brazos Center to demonstrate what has been tested the last two years.

The sheriff says they have used the mobile video between patrol vehicles, their command center, and the administration office during severe weather, standoffs at rural locations, and Texas A&M home football games among other events.
