Members of the Brazos County Democratic and Republican parties are holding county conventions on Saturday in Bryan.
Democratic county chairwoman Maggie Charleton says precinct and county conventions will be held at Neal Recreation Center. Business begins at noon, with registration starting at 11:30 a.m. Local and state candidates will be on hand to answer questions and discuss issues, resolutions will be voted on, and delegates and alternates will be selected to attend the statewide Texas Democratic Party Convention in Dallas this June. Charleton says anyone who voted in the Democratic Party Primary or signs an oath of affiliation with the Democratic Party is welcome to participate. Participants must not have voted in another party’s primary nor attended another party’s convention this year.
