Brazos County mail ballots delivered in person at post offices in Bryan and College Station receive special delivery to the elections office.
Elections administrator Trudy Hancock says this applies only to those who go inside B/CS post offices and hand deliver their ballots.
Ballots placed in mailboxes will go out of town for processing before arriving at the elections office.
Hancock says postal carriers are at the elections office several times a day making special deliveries of mail ballots.
As of last Friday, Brazos County has mailed 7,178 ballots.
