After two full terms and part of a third as a Brazos County district judge, Travis Bryan III is not seeking re-election next year.

The judge in the 272nd district court says he doesn’t have the feeling that he needs to go further after 12 years. And he’s looking forward to working the remainder of his term.

Bryan says he likes the multiple people who have expressed to him an interest in running for the position.

The judge says what he will miss the most is the every day interaction in the courthouse.

Bryan, who will be 73 when he leaves office, plans to enjoy more time with his family, which includes four grandchildren in Colorado.
