News release from Brazos County:
Changes are coming soon to the Brazos County Veterans Service Office (VSO). Pam Robertson, who has successfully served as the Veteran Service Officer since June 2023, is leaving the area to start a new Veteran Service Office Program in Aspen, Colorado. On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Brazos County Commissioners Court approved Kale Murray to take the helm at the Brazos County office after serving as the VSO on the Texas A&M University campus since October 2024.
During Robertson’s tenure, the Brazos County VSO has served more than 9,000 local Veterans and assisted them in recovering $7-million in retroactive pay and recurring monthly payments of $2-million in earned benefits.
Brazos County Judge Duane Peters remarked, “Pam has been such an asset to our Veterans. I know the Veterans in Colorado will be thrilled to work with her. And Kale has already proven himself an invaluable member of the team working with Veterans on campus, I’m sure his move to the main office will be a seamless transition.”
Murray is a proud Army Veteran with over 24 years of military service who retired as an Air Defense Artillery Chief Warrant Officer 3. Before coming to Brazos County, he was a Senior Instructor at the Army Space & Missile Defense School in Colorado Springs, CO. He is accredited as a County Veteran Services Officer (VSO) through the Texas Veterans Commission and is dedicated to advocating for and assisting Veterans and their families in navigating the benefits and services they’ve earned.
Robertson’s last day is March 13, 2026, with Murray taking over March 16, 2026.
