Brazos County Has Its First Fulltime Paid Volunteer Fire Department Chief

For the first time, there is a full time paid chief of a volunteer fire department in Brazos County.

Recently retired College Station assistant fire chief Joe Don Warren was chosen by the board overseeing the precinct four VFD.

Warren, who started November 11th, was sworn in during Tuesday’s county commission meeting by county judge Duane Peters.

District four includes suburban and rural areas north of FM 60, east of the Brazos River, south of OSR, and west of FM’s 2223 and 974.
