It’s been nearly three months since the remains of a young child were found in the garden of an east Bryan home.

While authorities continue to wait for autopsy results, a Brazos County grand jury believes the body is that of a three year old Bryan girl who was last seen in mid-June.

The grand jury indicted Rayven Shields’s mother and the mother’s boyfriend on criminal charges.

According to the indictment, 35 year old Virginia Adams and 51 year old Patrick Wilson Sr. are accused of failing to seek medical treatment for Rayven in a timely manner, and intentionally altering, destroying, or concealing Rayven’s corpse.

Wilson was also indicted for possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

Bonds have not been set on the new charges.

Adams and Wilson have been in jail since early August on other charges.
