A Navasota man is heading to prison for the third time.

That’s after a Brazos County district court jury convicted, then issued a 40 year sentence for violating a protection order twice.

According to the district attorney’s office, 43 year old John Eaddy returned to the victim’s residence six and eight days after he was ordered to stay away last April following his arrest on an assault charge.

The punishment was enhanced by prior prison sentences for strangling a woman, and for assaulting a police officer in Robertson County.

The DA’s office also tells WTAW News it appears the 2018 assault case that generated the protection order is still pending.
