Brazos County District Court Jury Convictions in Two Criminal Cases

Two Navasota men were convicted of crimes this week by juries in Brazos County district court. That was followed by prison terms for both men.

29 year old Brandon Richardson was sentenced to ten years for the October 2011 murder of Brice Bennett of Brenham. Witnesses told investigators Richardson fired at least two shots in the parking lot of a bar in south Brazos County. At least one shot was fired in the air and at least one shot went into a crowd of over 100 outside Neal’s Hideaway south of Millican.

Another jury convicted 41 year old Noe Cosino of driving while intoxicated-3rd or more then sentenced him to five and a half years in prison. In the latest case, Cosino was found guilty of driving drunk in November 2010, going into oncoming traffic, and causing a head-on collision. According to the District Attorney’s office Facebook page, Casino also used or exhibited a deadly weapon. Cosino had DWI convictions in Grimes County in September 1999 and March 2008. Cosino remains in the Brazos County Jail in lieu of an appeal bond of $10,000 and also is being held for U.S. immigration officials.
