A year and a half ago, a Bryan man was hospitalized after police caught him swallowing a vial of suspected PCP. A Bryan man in jail since December 2013 will have that time credited towards a nine year prison sentence for leading Bryan police on a high speed chase with three children in his minivan. A Brazos County district court jury sentenced 34 year old Jose Octavio Diaz in part after hearing testimony from one of his children, who according to prosecutors his father had driven like “a NASCAR driver” in his attempt to get away. Police reported none of the children were restrained.
A Bryan man serving jail time at night as part of his probation for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine was caught in June with six pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $24,000 dollars. 33 year old Brian Bisor pleaded guilty in the marijuana case and was sentenced to ten years. He was also found guilty of violating probation from the meth case and was ordered to serve a 25 year sentence.
