The Texas State 4-H horse show will continue being held at the Brazos County Expo complex.

Brazos County commissioners during Tuesday’s (July 23) meeting approved an extension through the year 2028.

The event has been at the expo since 2019.

The unanimous vote, without public comment, gives the state extension service $50,000 dollars a year from the county’s hotel occupancy tax fund.

The state extension service is also eligible to receive a credit of up to $12,000 dollars a year in renting the expo complex. The amount of the discount depends on the number of hotel rooms that booked that are associated with the show.
