A $3 million dollar expansion of the Brazos County Expo is expected to be completed by next year’s Brazos Valley Fair.
That’s after the county commission approved seeking bids at this week’s meeting.
Expo General Manager Tom Quarles says phase three addresses current and future needs.
One project is modifying the south arena concession stand to allow cooking. Phase three will also add new sound and lighting systems, finish out a third livestock stall barn, then behind that build a covered warm-up arena for equine events.
The expansion will be paid out of the county’s hotel occupancy tax.
