The drought continues to intensify in Brazos County. But conditions are not dry enough for county commissioners to issue a burn ban.
Commissioners agreed with the recommendation shared Tuesday morning by deputy emergency management coordinator Jason Ware.
Ware said the county’s four fire chiefs agreed to continue monitoring ground moisture.
The item will again be on next week’s agenda.
The Texas A&M forest service reports burn bans in Robertson, Madison, Waller, and Milam counties.
