Bond Revoked For Local Men Awaiting Trials On Murder And Armed Robbery Charges

A Bryan teenager facing a murder trial as an adult is back in jail. 18 year old Anthony Lopez was 16 when he is one of two accused of participating in a shooting death at Williamson Park in September of 2017. Lopez’s bond was revoked following his arrest earlier this month on new charges of possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon. No date has been set in Lopez’s murder trial. The trial of co-defendant Saul Suarez Jr. is set to start next January.

A Bryan man awaiting trial on charges of participating in the armed robbery of three people almost two years ago at the age of 17 is back in jail. Larry Denorris Brown Jr., who is now 19, had his bond revoked following his arrest earlier this month on new charges of possession of marijuana and evading arrest. The district attorney’s office has also filed a civil lawsuit seeking almost $4,400 dollars from Brown and a second man. Brown’s trial on the aggravated robbery charges is set for November 18.
