A Bryan woman awaiting trial on multiple charges from a drunk driving crash involving injuries more than three years ago is back in jail.

40 year old Vanessa Galvin’s $50,000 dollar bond was revoked by the trial judge for multiple violations that includes her ignition interlock device testing positive for alcohol six times between May and August of this year.

According to the Bryan police arrest report, Galvin’s blood alcohol level after the May 2016 nighttime crash on the freeway was more than three and a half times the legal limit at .307.

Witnesses told police Galvin was in the northbound lanes without her headlights on when her vehicle struck a southbound SUV.

The driver of the SUV said she rolled several times before coming to a stop. She sustained a collapsed lung and severe abdominal pain.

According to online court records, a trial date has been set five times and there has been two dates set for a plea conference.

Galvin’s current trial date is November 18th on charges of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
