Bombers can’t get key hits in loss to Jacks

This is not a trend the Brazos Valley Bombers want to repeat. But nonetheless, the second half of the TCL season is starting like the first half did, with a win and a loss at home. Last night the Bombers fell 6-2 to the East Texas Pump Jacks as BV let an early 2-0 led melt away with East Texas scoring all their runs in the last three innings. A lack of timely hitting hurt the Bombers as they have left 20 runners on base in the last two games, 13 in scoring position.

It will be the Alexandria Aces in town tonight and tomorrow night for 7 pm games before the Bombers head to Acadiana next week.
